PART TRADING: If you have parts you would like to trade please do so at r/partIt ![]() Guy told me not uncommon to see oil leaks now but my old 4Runner had 198k miles before it leaked and even then it was just a worn out seal on a oil cooler not a major gasket.Join the /r/MechanicAdvice IRC for instant conversations with other users on libera.chat irc network. Has anyone else seen oil collect here slowly? I’m starting to think it was just some dirt and what not kicked up that collected there.īy the way i’m 128k miles never had any issues. Drove about 10-15miles and checked again, still nothing. I let it idle for 10-15min and nothing no drop no film no oil. Anyways after going to the dealer I went home took the skid plate and there was some oil just a drop but some grease and grime as well so i cleaned it up along with the valve covers just to check them as well. The dealer did an oil change and noticed it, one thing to note last time i did an oil change the dealer in their infinite wisdom forgot the oil filter o ring and i leaked about a quart before they fixed it, they did clean it up or at least they said they did. I’m sorry to resurrect this but I was told today by the dealer I have a timing cover leak.
